They will be doing a special set of short-form games Face Off style! PLUS, a special appearence by Face Off as they perform their brand new, vaudvillian style Long-Form show!

Face Off competes in the 2010 Comedy Improv Throw Down in Harrisburg, PA hosted by comedy troupe Don't Break The Streak. Face Off advanced round after round all the way to the finals and fell just one point short of claiming the title of Champion!

That title goes to two man comedy duo SeanMichael(s) who performed one incredible set after another, saving their best for last! Face Off delivered the goodds becoming the festival crowd favorites with their brand new and super unique long-form. The Face Off long-form features rythmic poetry, several improvised musical numbers, short-form favorites seamlessly woeven into the whole form. Joe Tex, Jay Painter, and Eric Robinson was also asked to teach a workshop for the other troupes in attendence. The workshop focused on breaking down the built in gimmicks of the short-form game to get the most out of your scene.

The Face Off Unlimited original comic book - Adventures in Improv, Issue 1: Vigilante - is moving along!!! Charlie Connolly has just done a re-write on Joe Tex's innitial draft and we are now in the illustration stages. Thanks to Josh Hargreaves, our illustrator, for all his hard work. Face Off Unlimited, LLC sits down and talks shop with two improv legends. Charna Halpern's name is synonymous with long form improvisation and FOU's Joe Tex sat down with Charna

to find out what's new in long form, who to watch for, and her thoughts on improvisation as an art form. Charna was also kind enough to allows our cameras all over the inner sanctum of the legendary iO theatre. FOU takes you on a tour with Rachael Mason, as she shows us back stage, the green room, the class rooms, and even the ashes of the late-great Del Close! As if that exclusive FOU interview and tour wasn't enough, FOU also caught up with Joe Bill, founding member of Chicago's Annoyance theatre, and one half of one of improvisations most respected shows: Bassprov! Joe Bill teaches and directs at iO and Second City and has a working knowledge of the art of improvisation few have ever enjoyed. Joe Tex sits down with Joe Bill in the audience seats of the iO main stage and Joe Bill shared some in-depth, advanced theory on improvisation. Face Off Unlimited, LLC hires illustrator, Josh Hargreaves, for its next “Adventure”. The world premiere of Face Off Unlimited, LLC’s new comic book series: “Face Off Unlimited, LLC Comics presents: Improv Adventures” (working title) takes a giant leap forward yesterday with the hiring of animator Josh Hargreaves. “The comics will follow the real life adventures of the Improvisers”, Joe Tex, Face Off Unlimited, LLC’s Director of Operations explains. “Our first issue will be entitled “Vigilantes”, and it will tell the true story of how three ordinary improvisers foiled a crime on the way to a show”. An issue one release date has yet to be set.

Face Off Unlimited, LLC comes home to “Face Off”! Due to an overwhelming demand from Face Off fans to give them more, Face Off Unlimited, LLC has responded. Beginning in September, “A Best of Face Off” episodes will air on live-laughs.com. These are the most hilarious moments captured on film, and edited together to create a half hour of Face Off’s finest work.

FACE OFF becomes Face Off Unlimited, LLC! Since 2002, Friday Night Face Offhas been entertaining audiences all over Long Island, New York City, and across the country. Now, due to an overwhelming work load of nation-wide performances, and workshops and classes, the Face Off Unlimited, LLCnding fathers of FNFO have taken the next logical step. Jay Painter and Eric Robinson have partnered up legally (no, not that kind of partnered up) and created Face Off Unlimited, (a limited liability company). Mr. Painter will serve as the company’s Creative Director and Eric as Chief Financial Officer. Together they have assembled a highly talented group of people who may look familiar to the die-hard FNFO fans. Face Off Unlimited, LLC hired as its Director of Operations, former FNFO Creative Director Joe Tex from Los Angeles. Heading up the marketing and IT divisions is Char1lie Connolly, a polished veteran of the improv stage. Alexander L Hill, one of FNFO’s newest players and most experienced actors, has been brought in as producer and performer. “Friday Night Face Off will still be a major part of Face Off Unlimited, LLC, and Vinny Russo will remain on as Director” Eric said of the hit show, now in its 8th season.
